Having come to Amsterdam from four different corners of the world, ‘Intersections’ is the culmination of the shared journey the four members of the Dokwerk Saxophone Quartet have embarked on ever since their paths first crossed back in 2019. This album portrays the common (play)grounds Lisa, Jen-Hong, Ileana and Pedro have found their voice and identity as a group to be. For the introductory program at hand, these four saxophonists have decided their youth and energy at this very moment in time to be most accurately voiced by composers of today.
